Because I will finally get to hear Dale speak. It is one thing to read his words, thoughts on paper and on this board, but another to have a hands seminar/workshop. The Local UU is having it here in Birmingham, AL and the first thing I mentioned to them when beginning my daughter in the Religious Education classes that This book(now plural) was my basis for an outside source of truly raising a freethinker.

I'm curious if anybody else on this board would be going to the workshop. It would be great to meet.
Of course I'll be sure to intro myself to Dale, but being as he is the guest speaker that one doesn't count as an attendance of my sort.
The people at the UU seem to be interested in going too, so that is a plus. A lot of them are always looking for ways to broaden ideas on raising their kids. |

"Parenting Beyond Belief" workshop
All are invited to join us for a "Parenting Beyond Belief" workshop with Dale McGowan on Sunday, March 14th, 2010 beginning at 12:30, following a potluck lunch at the church. $15 per family. Childcare will be provided. To learn more, contact Sharron Swain, dre@uucbham.org
I also think that he is going to be the Speaker for the service about Raising Free Thinkers.
